By: Kofi Michel

Assembly Member for Osabene Mile 50 Electoral Area, Hon Ebenezer Opare has commissioned a pipe borne water project for the people of Nyankofo in his Electoral area to supply the people with potable water.

According to the Assembly Member, access to clean and potable water in the area has been a cancer for years without any apparent remedy. He noted people in the area go through thick and thin, mostly during the dry season to get water for domestic use.

Hon. Opare told Kofi, “there wasn’t any water or borehole water in the whole community to be fetched and as the Assembly Member of the area; it’s my responsibility to provide potable water to my people.

“They voted me as their Assembly Man and I can’t sit down and look at them suffering before they would get portable water to run their daily activities.”

Asafohene of Larteh – Akuapem Nana Opoku Ababio who is a resident at Mile 50, commended Hon. Ebenezer Opare for such a laudable project.

He observed that when Mr Opare was voted for as the Asabene Mile 50 assemblyman, many criticized of his age and made a lot of comments concerning his competence.

Nana Opoku Ababio elated, “I am highly surprised at how this young man is bringing development into our community and if we should give him the chance, he shall do more in the years to come as our assemblyman.”

Most of the people who spoke to Daily News Africa said nothing different from the Asafohene’s remarks.
