Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe has lost his WBO world superbantamweight title to Mexican Emmanuel Navarette in the United States.
In his second title defense, Isaac Dogboe failed to producethe devastating skill and dexterity that saw him beat the likes of Magdalenoand Juarez earlier this year.
Dogboe who until now had gone 20 fights without defeat lastedthe entire 12 rounds but he struggled for the majority of the rounds.
The taller Navarrete took the fight to Dogboe over the firsthalf of the bout, but Dogboe came back after Navarrete injured his right hand.Navarrete had a big round ten, rocking Dogboe, and dominated the rest of thefight.
By unanimous decision, all the 3 judges scored the bout infavour of the Mexican.
Two of the judges scored the bout 116- 112 in favour ofNavarette while the last judge scored it 115 -113 also in favour of the Mexican.
Dogboe who had a badly swollen face after the bout sad hewill now take a break, regroup and aim to come back to the top again.
